Convention & Meeting Venues

The Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) supports the $11 billion hospitality industry.  Atlanta attracts 37 million visitors per year.   In 2010, the ACVB put more than 50 tradeshows on the books and hosted more citywide conventions, occupying more than 5,000 hotel rooms on any given night during the convention, than in the history of the city.  Atlanta is outpacing every major competitor in tradeshow conventions booking over the next eight years.  Within that time frame, Atlanta is the leader for six of those eight years.  Moreover, Atlanta has grown its meeting and conventions business by 50 percent more than the competition over the past two years.

The Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) is located in South Fulton.  The GICC is wholly owned and operated by the City of College Park, Georgia.  It is Georgia’s second largest convention center and the only convention center in the world connected directly to a major airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The GICC is less than 10 minutes from downtown Atlanta.  The GICC has received rave reviews from conference and event planners alike who entrust the facility with high profile events – from addresses by the President of the United States; to televised auditions for American Idol; to international, national and regional conventions, conferences, trade and public shows.
