Workforce Development & Training

The Fulton County Housing and Human Services Office of Workforce Development is dedicated to helping businesses achieve their hiring goals, while assisting our residents with finding a meaningful and long-lasting career.  The employment assistance services are provided to our customers and employers at NO COST.

There are no fees required for the employer to access or receive the benefits of these services that include the following:

  • no charge for advertising and recruitment;
  • use of facilities;
  • coordinating interviews and selection;
  • pre-employment screenings (skill-based assessment, drug-testing and background checks); and
  • customized new employee training/orientations.

Educational Institutions

Fulton County is home to a prestigious colleges and universities who are producing tomorrow’s workforce.  Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, Spelman College, Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta Metropolitan College, and Atlanta Technical College attract the best and brightest students from across the country.  Each college/university has numerous undergraduate and graduate programs that offer the innovative thinkers and skilled labors that are needed to fill competitive job positions and who are fueling the entrepreneurial spirit of the community.

In the metro area, you will also find Emory University, Oglethorpe University, Kennesaw State College, and a host of technical and private institutions.
