When it comes to getting product and people from point A to point B, Fulton County’s transportation infrastructure can’t be beat. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest, is only minutes away from the heart of downtown, and enables passengers to reach 80% of the U.S. within a two-hour flight time. In addition to Hartsfield-Jackson, Fulton County is also home to Charlie Brown Airport, which serves as an operational base for scores of privately owned aircraft.
Fulton County also provides easy interstate and rail access with three major interstate systems, I-75, I-85, and I-20 converging within the County’s borders. CSX and Norfolk Southern are the freight rail service providers that operate within Fulton County and have facilities that can provide overnight service from the Ports of Savannah, Brunswick, Jacksonville, and Charleston. AMTRAK also offers regular passenger rail service to and from Atlanta.
