The Atlanta Metro commercial real estate market continues its upward trajectory as economic trends continue to show positive increases in population growth, job creation, and construction. Recent data shows that the Atlanta office market mimics total real estate market trends, with new development projects and absorption of existing properties adding roughly 2.6 million sq. ft. of space in 2014. Vacancy rates have also decreasing to 17.1%, and rental rates for the metro area averaging $19.88 a sq. ft. for class a, b, & c properties. The industrial market sector continues its rapid recovery with about 1 million sq. ft. of space absorbed in 2014. New development projects throughout the city are spurring this growth, and Fulton County’s strategic close proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and easy access to state ports should prove beneficial to the continued industrial market expansion.
